Fashion photography is certainly one of the most fascinating sectors, but for this reason you must know some rules not only technical but also creative and commercial, without whom it would be impossible to stand comparison with very high level of competition.
The course aims at teaching to the students not only the theoretical elements, but above all the possibility of taking their own photographs using the models provided by the suitable agencies.
This is very important, if you consider that at the beginning is nearly always impossible to use good equipment to give birth to your idea of image.

We will also give to the students the information about marketing strategies concerning this sector and above all the ways to enter the job world.

The course is divided into fifteen lessons, of four hours each, to reach a total of sixty hours of practise.

The material used (35 mm.) will be paid by the student, while the operating costs of the course (models, make-up artists, sets and so on) will be paid by the Institute.

However, we will assure you a good system to take and deliver films to the professional laboratories of the city, if you want. The cost of the developer will be paid by the student.

   • Introduction to the most famous and important fashion photographers through their own images
   • Introduction to the most famous stylists and their photographic choices
   • Relation between dress and light.
2. How to use the light in fashion photography
   • The trend
   • Soft light
   • Hard light
   • Natural light
   • Approach to the photographic set
   • How to use an equipped photographic set
   • How to use an improvised photographic set, "ready to use" materials
   • Advice on the materials to use
   • Analysis and comparison of the main magazines of the sector.

At the end of the course, the student would have produced a high and differentiated series of images that, after being selected by the teacher during the last lesson, will become his presentation portfolio.
Moreover, the student will receive an attendance certificate, with a mark expressed in thirtieths, based on the results obtained.
